Location
The
Hunter Olive Centre was launched in late 2003 to integrate our love for
food and wine and to showcase some of the finest gourmet foods produced in
the Hunter Valley.
Since
then, the Olive Centre has grown to be one of the largest specialty food
outlets in the Hunter Valley, displaying a range of over 400 locally made
products of which up to 80 are on tasting at any one time.
While
our market emphasis is based on sales of Olives, Olive oils and associated
products it became obvious that many other locally made products would
complement our product range significantly.
Local
cottage industry producers not large enough to support a retail outlet
have welcomed the opportunity to display and retail their products at our
McDonalds Road store.
The
Hunter Olive Centre currently retails a selection of jams, preserves,
conserves, mustard, oil dippers, vinegars, chutneys, dukkah and the
largest range of herbs and spices in the valley. Infused Olive Oils and
olives in a multitude of flavours have become increasingly popular since
2003.
The
Hunter Olive Association is very pro-active organisation in its support of
local growers, providing regional Events, Produce shows and assistance to
all members. The Hunter Olive Centre is a major sponsor of the
association, providing monetary support and assisting local producers from
a retail perspective.
