Nebbiolo: 2011

The 2011 Nebbiolo has a typical firm palate with slightly astringent tannins that will continue to soften. This is a wine made to complement Mediterranean style foods, and needs food to show its best. Its savoury characters are unusual for Australian wine, and it emulates Barolo quite well.

Colour: medium brick red colour with earthy touches

Bouquet: earthy, leathery, truffle, tar and rose petals.

Cellaring: To 2023

Bottling: The palate is firm with slightly astringent tannins that will soften over the next 3-4 years.

Food Pairings: big hearty stews, osso bucco, truffle & mushroom risotto
