"Out of the Ashes"
On the 21st of August 2011, a devastating fire gutted Pokolbin Estate Vineyard's elegant sandstone cellar door in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
The stonemasons had painstakingly constructed the dwelling in the 1970s using sandstone taken from a 1800 circa cottage, located next door to James Busby's vineyard in lower Belford.
It is a new era for Pokolbin Estate Vineyard. The sandstone cellar door was rebuilt to its former glory with the exception of a very modern interior, state of the art technology and beautiful landscaped gardens.
